A few words on surf fishing Sunset Beach; like a lot of the Brunswick County beaches, there is a long stretch of shallow, structureless water. Not a lot of deep holes or sloughs near shore. It is great for swimming with your young family members, however it is not the best for surf fishing. With that said, if visiting Sunset Beach, don't leave your fishing rods at home, you never know...
